the Comox Valley Child Development Association
The CVCDA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of individuals from local businesses, municipal governments, service organizations, and parents.
Board meetings are held monthly. A full financial audit is conducted annually and presented, with a comprehensive operational report, at the AGM which is in June.
The Board is actively engaged in advocacy and fund raising, particularly the annual Telethon. Persons interested in becoming board members are encouraged to pick up an information package at the CVCDA which contains biographical information about the history of the CVCDA, the By-Laws and Constitution governing the association and recent copies of Oasis, the agency newsletter. The CVCDA has been accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, since 2004.
