Be sure to keep a look out for the Baynes Sound Lions Club once again this year on their annual Walk For The Kids fundraiser in support of the Comox Valley Child Development Association. Starting at Fanny Bay Hall on Sunday November 4 at 8:30am, the group will set off to collect donations.
Pushing their big yellow wheelbarrow, the Club will follow the Old Island Highway route north from Fanny Bay all the way through Courtenay, down Cliffe avenue to the downtown core. The Walk will continue through out the day until the Lions’ fundraisers reach the 2018 CVCDA Telethon taking place at the Sid Williams Theatre (442 Cliffe Ave) from 12pm – 8pm. Once inside, they will be presenting their accumulative donation to the Association from a number of of their fundraising initiatives leading up the Telethon.
