Our Deluxe Raffle Basket was officially claimed this week following the draw at the finale of our 2018 CVCDA Telethon on Sunday November 4, 2018. Pictured here, Tessa Carnie (above, left) picks up the winnings on behalf of her husband (the official winner), Sam Carnie. Tessa received the basket (and additional goods that wouldn’t fit in the basket) from our CVCDA Staffer, Kathy Cruikshank (above, right), Program Manager of our Supported Child Development Program.
This year’s basket contained a plethora of goods and services generously donated by local businesses from throughout the Comox Valley. The complete basket was valued at over $3,000 and included gift certificates for local dining, spa and salon treatments and great shopping throughout the region. Additionally, we had our 2nd Raffle Winner in to the Child Development Centre to pick up her prize of a flight for two, anywhere West Jet flies. M’Laine Healey (pictured right) receives her flight voucher from CVCDA staffer, Robyn Walsh (pictured left).
All proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets go directly to the Comox Valley Child Development Association to support local children and their families.
