The Comox Valley Child Development Association (CVCDA) recently held their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 5:00pm. The meeting took place with a great turn out in the lower level of the main Child Development Association (237 3rd Street, Courtenay).
A Particular highlight at this year’s AGM were the “heartfelt highlights” of each of our Program Managers. Each of them shared a story of their work that left a lasting impression on them. One of the things that made them say “gee I love this job”. Wendy’s story of swimming with Project Inclusion or Jennifer’s story of a little guy taking his first bites of food by mouth left a lasting impression on us all! There is so much to celebrate across all programs.
Additioanlly, we are very happy to announce our new 2019-20 Board confirmed at the AGM. They exhibit a mix of experience and new energy with many familiar faces carrying on from the previous years. A special welcome to our two brand new Board members Nicole Chow and Christine Evanochko. Looking forward to another wonderful year ahead.

CVCDA Membership
In order for participants to have voted at the 2019 CVCDA AGM, they must have been a CVCDA Member in good standing. They would have been a paid up member no later than Tuesday, May 7, 2019 (six weeks in advance of AGM). Membership dues of $2.00 can be paid in person at the CVCDA’s main reception.
