Amazing! With your support, Comox Valley, we were able to raise a total of $95,924 by the end of our 2019 CVCDA Children’s Telethon held Sunday, November 3rd at the Sid Williams Theatre.
Comox Valley Child Development’s existing outside play space built through the generous fundraising of local Comox Valley McDonald’s Restaurant’s and their McHappy Day event.
This year, a portion of those funds will go towards building on to our existing outdoor play space with a natural playground and a functional and vibrant courtyard area.
We held our first internal focus group this past month and continue to gather information from our various programs and those who will frequent the space. In the short term, we will continue to compile all of these details to then realize our customized needs for the space. We will integrate these needs with an existing landscaping plan (Bloom Landscape Architecture) and start allocating the funds to various stages of the plan.
