On behalf of the Comox Valley Child Development Association (CVCDA), we would like to offer a BIG THANK YOU to all who participated and supported us at our 45th CVCDA Virtual Children’s Telethon. With your support, Comox Valley, we were able to raise a total of $96,260 by the end of our 2020 event held Sunday, November 1st from 12pm – 8pm from the Sid Williams Theatre.
The Telethon itself, although virtual, was still be a FREE event for the whole family to view, in real-time from home or where you were. Viewers were able to see all of the live performances, prize draws and guest appearances that they have come to know through the years and also be part of the wonderful fundraising spirit of the Comox Valley.
This year, with your donations we will continue to build on our programs and meet local demands to improve upon the lives of the children, youth and adults with diverse abilities and their families, who utilize our services.
Additionally this year, we had a fundraising goal to grow our CVCDA Accessibility Project Fund. This project will see improvements made to the accessibility of our main parking lot and accessible entry ways (see image below). We are striving to provide physical locations for our services that are not only welcoming but inclusive to all who utilize them.
The Comox Valley Child Development Association (CVCDA) is a non-profit society that has served children and youth with diversabilities and their families since 1974.
We would also like to thank the countless 2020 CVCDA Telethon event supporters including our Co-Producer and Sponsor, Shaw Spotlight and the entire team at the Sid Williams Theatre who worked with us tirelessly to bring the Telethon to the viewers in these COVID times. We could not have done it with out all of the contributions of time, donations, coverage, support and more. Thank You!
