KNOW YOUR LIMIT, PLAY WITHIN IT
How it Works
Starting Thursday, October 15, 2021 at 12pm, visit our online 50/50 ticket site through CanadaHelps. Select the number of tickets you would like to purchase at $5 each and complete your purchase using your preferred method of payment through the CanadaHelps secure payment system.
Because our event is once again virtual this year, there will be no in-person opportunity to purchase 50/50 tickets. Ticket sales will close on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 6:30pm.
Draw takes place on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 7:45pm.
What are the prizes and odds?
Chances are 1 in 4,000 (total tickets for sale) to win the 50/50 prize.
The prize will be half of the total amount of money made from all CVCDA 50/50 Raffle ticket sales.
The jackpot and odds of winning are different with every 50/50 draw, so the prize amount depends on how many people are playing and the size of the prize pool. The more tickets you buy for a draw, the more chances you have to win! We only will draw from the ticket numbers sold out of a total of 4,000 available tickets.
Where do I find my 50/50 Raffle numbers?
In addition to your automatically generated confirmation email (with attached PDFs), you will receive a separate email with your actual 50/50 number(s). This secondary email will come from email@example.com and will reference your raffle number(s) to use for the draw.
You will receive a independent number for each ticket purchased. You do not need to print your ticket(s) but you must keep them (either digitally or printed) to present if number is drawn.
*Tickets will only be emailed during regular office hours and the day of the event.
Raffle Fine Print:
Tickets may be sold and purchased in British Columbia only.
One winner number will be randomly drawn on Sunday, November 7 at 7:45pm at the Sid Williams Theatre. Participants can watch from home either on TV or through online streaming. Ticket holders do not need to be present (or viewing the live draw from home) to win.
The winner will be notified via the email provided through the CanadaHelps payment system on Monday, November 8, 2021 following the Telethon. Arrangement for a cheque payment will be made at that time by either mail or pick up with in the week at our CVCDA offices located at 237 3rd Street, Courtenay, BC.
Winner must provide a signature and proof of ID before claiming the prize.
Minors may buy raffle tickets if:
- The minor is 13 years of age or older; or

If a winning ticket bears a minor’s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of the minor to the minor’s parent, legal guardian or trustee.
