Join us to hear about and celebrate the work of CVCDA over the past year, meeting the needs of children and families in the Comox Valley.
The Comox Valley Child Development Association (CVCDA) Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 5:00pm. The meeting will be located in the Comox Valley Autism Centre across the rear courtyard of the main Child Development Association building (237 3rd Street, Courtenay). Refreshments will be provided.
The meeting will also be available via Zoom for those who cannot attend in person. (please contact CVCDA for Zoom details)
The Annual General Meeting will address the following:
- Receive and consider the President’s report, the Executive Director’s report, the financial statements and the report of the Auditors for the fiscal year April 1st, 2021 to March 31st , 2022
- Appointment of Auditors for the next fiscal year 2022/2023
- Election of members to the Board of Directors
- Transact any further business as may properly be brought before the meeting or any adjournment thereof

The CVCDA Board of Directors are seeking new volunteer members to bring their skills and talents to our Board. The CVCDA has been serving families in the Valley since 1974. Our agency has grown to include comprehensive child development services and programs which help support children to thrive in their family, school and community environments. If you are a business or community member who would like to be involved in the future work of the CVCDA, we would love to hear from you!
We are looking for community minded volunteers, who have experience with or an understanding of non-profit business, fundraising and child development. Please fill in the application and submit to cindy@cvcda.ca
CVCDA Membership
Become a member and vote at the 2022 CVCDA AGM. To be a CVCDA Member in good standing, voters will need to be a paid up member no later than Tuesday, August 9, 2022 (six weeks in advance of the AGM). Membership dues of $2.00 can be paid in person at the CVCDA’s main reception.
