Please help us in welcoming our new Program Director, Jo Pollitt who will be starting on August 14th in this newly created role for the CVCDA. With this new position, our organization is excited to have added program support with in our management team.
Jo brings with her experience working in the non-profit sector, local government, health and most recently education at School District 72 in the Campbell River region. She has worked in roles dedicated to serving preschoolers, children, families, teens and young adults, giving her a breadth of experience relevant to many of the programs CVCDA delivers.
Much of Jo’s career has seen her learning from and supporting people with diverse abilities and/or those facing challenges and inequalities. Her roles have included supporting young people leaving care, health outreach, youth homelessness, speech-language pathology, youth participation and democracy, education governance and managing residential tenancies.
We are looking forward having Jo join our CVCDA family as the newest member of our team. Jo’s experience will be a welcome addition to the agency and the support we provide to the children and families in the Comox Valley.
