Comox Valley Children need YOU!
The proceeds of our Online Auction are part of the fundraising efforts for the annual Comox Valley Child Development Association’s Children’s Telethon broadcasting live from the Sid Williams Theatre on November 5, 2023 from 12pm – 8pm.
The CVCDA’s annual auction has typically been a great opportunity to get your Christmas shopping started or even completed.
There is a variety of great goods and services all generously donated by local businesses from throughout the Comox Valley and beyond.
Always popular, are the numerous gift certificates for local dining, spa and salon treatments and great shopping throughout the Valley. You will find many one of a kind pieces such as hand crafted blankets, paintings and glass art including some original art from local artists.
There is no shortage of ideas for everyone in your life but don’t forget to treat yourself with a number of pampering options like jewelry, flowers, chocolate or even a romantic staycation.
Additionally, participants can bid on a number of home decor items, rounds of golf and even a guitar.

How it Works
Starting Wednesday, October 5, 2023 at 10am, visit our online auction site via 32 Auctions. Browse through our over 100 items including their images and descriptions. When you are ready to bid, you will need to create a FREE account (unless you already have one from previous years).
THEN, YOU ARE READY to particpate by either initiating starting bids, outbidding someone else or making a direct purchase of an item through the Buy Now option (when available) to guarantee your win.
Bidders will receive instant notifications, including outbid notifications which make it so simple to bid again and take back the lead! You can also opt in to receive outbid text notifications.
When the auction ends, winning bidders will be immediately notified with an automatically generated invoice which can be paid securely online.
As in the past couple of years, there will be no in-person component of the auction as there has been in years prior to the pandemic. For 2023, the entire auction will remain online until bidding ends on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 7pm.
We will continually be adding new items as they become available so check back regularly. Also, it’s never too late to support the CVCDA Children’s Telethon through an in-kind contribution. Please contact cvcdatelethon@cvcda.ca for details.

Accounts
Anyone with a link to your online auction can view it without having an account. An account is only needed in order to bid.
Buy Now Option
Some items may allow for particpants to both bid and direct purchase at a Buy Now price. On these select items the Buy Now option is available until bidding reaches or exceeds the Buy Now price.
Payment
Winning bidders will have the convenience of using their preferred method of online payment via PayPal. Once winners receive their winning bidder notification and invoice, winners will be able to submit payment online from their invoice page. Invoices display the items won, the winning bid amounts, the total amount due, and a payment button.
Pick Up
Following the auction close, winning bidders will be able to immediately start picking up their winnings on Tuesday morning (Nov 7) during office hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm from the CVCDA (3rd Street, downtown Courtenay). Please call or email to set up a pick up time to avoid disappointment in the case our Admin Team are temporarily unavailable.
Collecting winning items will be the responsibility of the winner including any required shipping fees. There will be no free shipping available for winning items with the exception of some smaller items like gift certificates and tickets likely to fit into a standard envelope. All items must be paid for and claimed by December 1st, 2023. Items not paid for by this date will automaticlly go to the next highest bidder.
