Job Summary:
The successful applicant will work under the direct supervision of the Community Integration Program Manager. The position will perform recreational and social activities as part of approved plans for children with diverse abilities based on client and parent preferences, during after school hours.
Activities of the Support Worker include:
The applicant must be able to work with and establish rapport with children; be able to work independently and within a team environment and have excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- Certification in Child and Youth Care, Human Service Worker Program, or appropriate training in Child and Youth Care
- Two years’ recent relevant experience in working with families and groups
- Valid Driver’s License (and Class 4 Driver’s License also preferred)
- First Aid training.
Responsibilities
- Willingness to participate in agency community engagement activities such as the annual Telethon fundraiser and community engagement
- Availability to work outside of standard office hours
- Vehicle that meets ICBC annual inspection standards, and valid Driver’s License
- A criminal record check will be required

- Wage range: $27.92-$29.60 (@ April 1, 2024) (Commensurate with Education and Experience)
