Firstly, the Executive Director of the CVCDA, Cindy Xavier, has resigned from her position effective May 4, 2026. We would like to express our deep gratitude to Cindy for her contributions to the agency over the last six years.
Joanne Schroeder, our former Executive Director, will be acting in this role temporarily as we finalize long-term leadership.
We are excited to announce that Ted Campbell will be joining the CVCDA as the new Director of Programs. Ted brings extensive experience in child and family services, with his most recent role being with a First Nations organization in Bella Coola.
We are just beginning the recruitment for another senior leader and intend to have this position filled within a couple of months.
